An al-Qaida-linked al-Qaeda linked group has signed a deal to sell $1 billion of its biofuels, according to Reuters.
Akbaris al-Qa’ida is a coalition of Sunni militant groups.
Saudi Arabia is an important regional supplier of fuel, mainly to the US, the UK and Germany.
The company said the deal is part of its ongoing commitment to diversify.
The al-Bayt al-Maqdis, or Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, is a militant group affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Reuters said the group also announced that the deal will be made public on Monday.
The move comes after the US-led coalition launched airstrikes on Islamic State positions in Syria last month, a move that was opposed by the Saudi government.
Saudi officials have also accused the Islamic State group of targeting civilians and carrying out attacks on its military bases.
